Refrigeration & Cold Storage Solutions in Dubai & UAE

Turnkey refrigeration systems engineered around your product — temperature, humidity, air quality and hygiene, held reliably and economically.

Chillex Technical Services LLC delivers refrigeration solutions for the food industry, pharmaceuticals, hospitality, chemical processing, telecom and other sectors across Dubai and the UAE.

A cold store is not just a cold box. Different products demand different conditions — temperature, humidity, room pressurisation, odour control, air treatment and bacteria control all change with the application. We design to those variables, then build systems that hold them consistently while keeping running costs defensible.

Every solution is assessed for techno-commercial feasibility before we recommend it. The cheapest system to install is rarely the cheapest system to own, and we will show you the difference.

The Right Room for What You're Storing

Temperature, humidity and pull-down rate all change the insulation, the refrigeration and the controls. We start from what's going in the room.

Cold room types with temperature ranges, panel thickness and typical applications
Room typeTemperatureTypical panelBest for
Cool room +8°C to +15°C60–80 mm Dry goods, chocolate, wine, packaging, ambient-sensitive produce
Chiller room 0°C to +5°C80–100 mm Fresh food, dairy, produce, prepared meals — meets the DM ≤5°C requirement
Freezer room −18°C to −25°C120–150 mm Frozen food, meat, poultry, seafood, ice cream — meets the DM ≤−18°C requirement
High-humidity / floral +2°C to +5°C at 90–95% RH80–100 mm Cut flowers, leafy produce, anything that wilts in dry cold
Blast chiller / freezer +3°C in 90 min, or −35°C to −40°C150–200 mm HACCP cook-chill compliance, rapid freezing for seafood and meat

Industrial Scale

Turnkey Cold Stores & Industrial Refrigeration

As a turnkey specialist we take a project from heat load calculation through to the day your first pallet goes in.

  • Walk-in chillers and freezers — supply, panel construction, refrigeration and controls
  • Blast chillers and blast freezers — rapid pull-down for food safety and product quality
  • Large-volume and multi-temperature stores — for logistics, distribution and production
  • Inline and tunnel cooling — cooling integrated directly into a production conveyor
  • Insulated polyurethane panels — walls and ceilings, with insulated sliding and hinged doors
  • Air curtains and strip curtains — controlling infiltration at high-traffic openings
  • Process and specialist storage — pharmaceutical, chemical and telecom environments

Delivery is supported by operator training and timely service support, so the system stays as good as it was on handover day.

Commercial Systems

Commercial Refrigeration Equipment

The range below is representative, not exhaustive. If your application needs something else, ask.

Condensing units

With semi-hermetic, hermetic and scroll compressors:

  • Water-cooled condensing units
  • Air-cooled condensing units
  • Desert-rated selection for high ambient conditions
  • Fabricated steel support frames and equipment platforms

Coolers & air handling

  • Single-direction air discharge coolers for typical applications
  • Dual-direction air discharge coolers, ideal for temperature-controlled corridors and ante-rooms
  • Coolers with high-static axial fans and blowers for long-range air throw of 60 m and beyond
  • Brine coolers for chilled water and glycol applications
  • Fresh air handling units for process areas — suited to processing and packaging facilities
  • Air filtration and odour control options for clean rooms, pharmaceutical facilities and laboratories

Service & Maintenance

Service, Repair & Preventive Maintenance

Refrigeration plant degrades quietly. Efficiency drifts, temperatures creep, and the first obvious symptom is often a load of damaged stock. Planned maintenance catches it earlier and cheaper.

  • Planned preventive maintenance contracts with scheduled visits and reporting
  • Compressor overhauling, and rebuilt compressor supply and installation
  • Refrigerant leak detection, repair and gas charging
  • Evaporator and condenser cleaning, coil and fan motor repair or replacement
  • Digital thermostat, control panel and PCB replacement and repair
  • Defrost, drainage and water leakage fault resolution
  • Temperature and performance troubleshooting on third-party installations
  • 24/7 emergency breakdown response

Temperature and everything that follows from it. A chiller holds roughly 0 to +5°C and typically uses 80–100 mm panels. A freezer holds −18 to −25°C, needs 120–150 mm panels, insulated floor construction, a defrost strategy, drain trace heating and a pressure relief valve. They're different builds, not different settings.
Sometimes — but it needs a proper assessment first. Insulation thickness, floor construction, door type, drainage and refrigeration capacity all have to be reassessed. A room converted on optimism rather than calculation will run permanently overloaded and fail early.
As a general guide: 60–80 mm for cool rooms, 80–100 mm for chillers, and 120–150 mm for freezers, with 150–200 mm for blast applications. The final figure comes from the heat load calculation, your holding temperature and the ambient conditions around the room.
Almost always because the condensing unit was selected against a lower design ambient than Dubai actually reaches, or because the condenser is fouled with dust and can't reject heat. Both are diagnosable in a single site visit, and both are fixable.
Yes. We supply insulated polyurethane panels, insulated hinged and sliding doors, air curtains and associated hardware, and can install them as a standalone scope.
Yes — repairs, overhauls, refrigeration replacement, panel repairs and full maintenance takeovers. We start with a condition survey so both sides know exactly what we're inheriting.
